Biography

Victor Crouin won several Tour titles and entered
in the world top ten for the first time in 2022.

In the majority of the main draws he has reached during
the first years of his career, the Frenchman was able to qualify
at least for the quarter-finals, with his first victory in 2017.
He won the Open International d'Angers, after defeating Adam Murrills in the final. His final event of the year also brought him a win, with Crouin winning the Ocean Blue Logistics Grimsby & Cleethorpes Open.

It started a consistent streak of reaching at least the quarter-finals in 12 of his next 13 events, including victories at the Hasta La Vista Open and the Aston and Fincher Sutton Coldfield International, both coming in 2018.

While studying at Harvard University, Crouin went from strength to strength on the Tour, winning four times in five events in 2019, including three on Australian soil, including the national open. He won the Mulgrave Country Club Victoria Open Championships, the Australian Open and the Tasmanian Open. He then also won the CenterState Bank Marietta Open the same year.

The Frenchman then broke through the PSA World Tour by qualifying for the round of 16 of the CIB Egyptian Open. A fifth victory in 2019 followed, as he won the Dominican Squash Open. Crouin also won his last tournament of 2020 by beating compatriot Lucas Serme in the PSA Bordeaux Nord final.

This winning form continued into the start of 2021, with the Frenchman succeeding twice more on home soil, victorious at the PSA Challenger 10 Le Reve Nancy and the Cognac Open to kick off his year.

It would be a year that featured five wins in total, including three Challenger 20-level crowns. Crouin won the Squash on Fire Open, where he beat former world No. 1 James Willstrop in the final, before winning the South State Bank Marietta Open and the HSC Open - Presented By Assurance Financial.

Thanks to these results, in addition to reaching the semi-finals of the Malaysia Open Squash Championships at the bronze level in December, the Frenchman climbed into the top 20 of the world rankings for the first time in his career for the beginning of 2022.

He beat new world No. 1 Paul Coll en route to the quarter-finals of the GillenMarkets Canary Wharf Classic, before also advancing to the last eight of the JP Morgan Tournament of Champions. Crouin's final outing of the season came in Doha, where he won Challenger 30 QSF level 4 to move up to career world No. 18 at the end of the 2021-22 campaign. Crouin went on to win the men's singles gold medal at the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, beating compatriot Grégoire Marche in the final.

The Frenchman started the 2022-2023 campaign on a rich vein of form by reaching the finals of his first three tournaments. He lost in the final of the CIB Zed Squash Open, QTerminals Qatar Classic before winning the French Squash Open in front of a raucous crowd. The title was his biggest to date and his first bronze-level crown.

Thanks to this victory, he enters the world top 10 for the first time in his career. Crouin also won the Life Time Chicago Open, a Challenger 30 level event, before advancing to the semifinals of the Robertson Lodges New Zealand Open. He ended 2022 with quarter-final appearances at the MARIGOLD Singapore Squash Open and the Everbright Securities International Hong Kong Squash Open.
